"Familiar Skies" Print

I often dream about living in a cabin, painting the mountains right out my window.  But the truth of it is that there is beauty right where I live, here in the Midwest.  While endless cornfields and old barns dotted across the countryside might be "ordinary," there is something comforting in the familiarity.  People think that joy is something that has to be sought after, and that they have to go into another place to attain happiness.  That is simply not true, because I believe that when you look closer and appreciate the simple things, you will realize that there are so many beautiful little things right in front of you!
